In 2023, IWC releases Big Pilot’s Watch 43 Tourbillon Markus Bühler Watch IW329901(Replica IWC Big Pilot’s). This much-anticipated watch is the successor to the 2008 Big Pilot’s Watch Markus Bühler Special Edition. This time, the flying minute tourbillon at the 6 o’clock position of the watch integrates a unique aircraft turbine, which is a huge challenge for both design and manufacturing. As a new interpretation of the “Markus Bühler” watch, the polished platinum case is paired with a smooth and shiny black dial and a black cordovan leather (also known as Cordovan leather) strap. The watch is equipped with IWC’s self-made 82905 movement. The parts are treated with a special process and appear black. The style is clearly revealed through the sapphire transparent glass case back.
The 43mm case and crown are crafted from platinum. Platinum is arguably one of the rarest, purest and most precious metals used in the watch and jewelry industry. The case is finely ground by hand and the bezel and lugs are polished. Thanks to this finishing process, the luster of platinum is even more dazzling, giving the watch an overall refined, elegant and sophisticated appearance. The smooth black lacquer dial is printed with white numerals and the hour markers are filled with Super-LumiNova®. Markus Bühler’s signature is printed on the inside of the black cordovan leather (also known as Cordoba leather) strap, making the overall design of the watch more natural, smooth and coherent. This large pilot’s watch 43 is equipped with IWC’s own 82905 movement. Its Pellaton automatic winding system uses solid ceramic components and can accumulate an 80-hour power reserve for the mainspring. The plywood, bridges and oscillating weight clearly visible through the sapphire transparent glass back are treated with a black PVD coating process, then laser engraved, and finally the engraved area is rhodium-plated.
The story of Big Pilot’s Watch 43 Tourbillon Markus Bühler Watch IW329901 also proves the power of the IWC apprenticeship course. The first edition in 2008 was specially created by Markus Bühler for the competition “Institut de Formation à la Haute Horlogerie”, for which he won the first prize. Today, various apprenticeship competitions and activities such as the Advanced Watchmaking Challenge have become the basis for IWC to cultivate young talents, produce new ideas, and design cutting-edge watchmaking solutions. After completing his apprenticeship, Bühler still chose to continue working for IWC. He has held various functions, including Manager of the Industrialization Department and Head of the Movement Assembly and Industrialization Department. Starting in 2020, he will serve as the deputy director of the timepiece and movement assembly department of the new workshop, fully responsible for all IWC assembly processes.https://www.watchcopiesale.co/
